Dr. Navaid Akhtar has held a number of key posts throughout Britain, USA, & Ireland specializing pain management & regional Anaesthesia. He got his training in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at Marriston Hospital, Swansea, UK. He did Anaesthesia & Pain Medicine Residency at Albany Medical Centre, NY and USA. He worked as Registrar in Anaesthesia & Pain Management St. Vincent's Hospital, Dublin, Ireland where he was attached to Dr. Declan Okeffe (Director, Pain Management). He worked as Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Management at Galway Teaching Hospital, Ireland. Dr. Navaid Akhtar got his certificate in chronic pain from University of Toronto, Canada. He is member of International Association for the Study of Pain (USA) and member of European Societies for Pain Therapy. Dr. Navaid Akhtar is actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents. He has published articles in peer reviewed journals and regularly presents at scientific conferences.
