Burhani Hospital was initially established as a dispensary in 1913, for the treatment of Influenza which had become an epidemic in Karachi at the time. The dispensary was later upgraded to Marvi Maternity Home. In 1978, Dr. Syedna Muhammad Burhanuddin converted the facilities to a full-fledged general hospital to be managed by the Burhani Medical Board. The hospital provides medical facilities to all those in need, without discrimination and offers medical consultancy in all the major medical fields. The hospital is equipped with state of the art facilities and strives to provide the best health services to residents of Karachi. Burhani Hospital has 91 indoor beds and provides services to around 6000 in-patients and around 80,000 out-patients annually with the help of dedicated professional staff and modern equipment.
