About Astadol Tablet 37.5 / 325mg
Astadol Tablet relieves moderate to severe pain using Tramadol and Paracetamol combination.
Astadol Tablet Uses
- Relieves moderate to moderately severe pain after injury or surgery.
- Manages chronic musculoskeletal pain such as back pain and osteoarthritis.
- Used for short term relief of acute pain when simple analgesics are not enough.
- Helps control dental and post procedure pain under medical guidance.
Astadol Tablet Benefits
- Combines two complementary painkillers for faster, more complete relief.
- Lower tramadol dose per tablet can reduce some opioid related side effects.
- Paracetamol component adds fever reducing action alongside pain relief.
- Useful when single agent painkillers fail to control moderate pain.
What Experts Say
Tramadol acts on opioid receptors in the brain and spinal cord while also affecting serotonin and norepinephrine pathways in the central nervous system. This dual action makes it effective for pain that does not respond well to paracetamol alone, but it also explains why tramadol carries a seizure risk and interacts with certain antidepressants.
Combining tramadol with paracetamol allows doctors to use a lower tramadol dose while still achieving strong pain relief. This combination approach can reduce some opioid related side effects compared to using tramadol alone at a higher dose for the same level of pain control.
Because tramadol carries dependence and misuse potential, prescribers in Pakistan treat it as a controlled substance and limit prescriptions to the shortest effective duration. Long term use needs medical supervision to watch for tolerance, dependence, withdrawal symptoms and organ function.
