Cefiget Syrup Uses

Cefiget syrup is an antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections like urinary tract infections, ear and throat infections, sinusitis, bronchitis, typhoid, as well as sexually transmitted diseases. It is composed of Cefixime Trihydrate as the active ingredient which belongs to the cephalosporin group of antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth and spread of bacteria in the body.

Risks and warnings

Generally, Cefiget syrup is well tolerated. However, you should know its risks and warnings so that you do not take it when the risk is greater than the benefit.

The risks and warnings associated with Cefiget syrup are:

• Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant, do not take cefixime unless your doctor advises it. It can affect your baby's health. Breastfeeding mothers should also consult a healthcare provider before taking it.

• Allergic to cefixime

If you are allergic to cefixime, do not take Cefiget syrup or any other similar medicine as it can result in a life-threatening condition called anaphylactic shock.

• Non-susceptible organisms
