How to use Cefimax capsule 400mg?

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water
• Can be taken with or without food, though food may reduce stomach upset
• Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve early
• Take doses at evenly spaced intervals as directed
• If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it is near the next dose

Drug Interactions

• Warfarin: Cefixime may increase INR and bleeding risk when combined with warfarin.
• Probenecid: Increases cefixime blood levels by reducing its excretion.
• Carbamazepine: May raise carbamazepine blood levels when taken together.
• Live Typhoid Vaccine: Antibiotics may reduce the effectiveness of live oral typhoid vaccine.
