• Do not exceed the maximum daily dose printed on the pack
• Swallow capsules whole with water
• Drink extra fluids or oral rehydration solution to replace lost water and salts
• Stop use and seek medical advice if diarrhea continues beyond 48 hours
• Avoid use if there is fever, blood in the stool, or severe abdominal pain without medical advice

Drug Interactions

• Quinidine: Raises loperamide blood levels and increases the risk of central nervous system side effects
• Ritonavir: Increases loperamide plasma levels through the same absorption pathway
