Gynosporin Cream Uses

Gynosporin cream is used for the treatment of vaginal yeast infections in women. It contains Clotrimazole, an antifungal agent belonging to the class of drugs called imidazoles. It works by preventing the growth of fungus and combats the cause of the fungal infection. A vaginal yeast infection (vaginal candidiasis) can cause irritation, itching, or discharge from the vagina and vulva. These infections are quite common and affect up to 3 out of 4 women at some point of time in their life. It is important to note that Gynosporin cream is only effective against vaginal yeast infections and won't work against vaginal bacterial infections.

How to use Gynosporin Cream 2% 35g?

• Wash your hands
• Open the Gynosporin cream tube and squeeze it out into the applicator
• Find a comfortable place to lie down
• Put your knees up to your chest
• Insert the applicator into the vagina, as far as it can go comfortably
• Press down on the applicator plunger
• Clean the applicator afterwards by washing it with water and soap if it's reusable
• Use the cream regularly as prescribed, for the best results
• If your symptoms do not improve after 7 days, consult your doctor
• Do not get the cream in your eyes, nose, or mouth
• Do not stop using it abruptly even if your symptoms improve. Doing so can cause the yeast infection to come back
• Ask your healthcare provider before stopping its use
• Do not use the cream after the expiry date has passed
