About Hitra tablet 550mg
A gut targeted antibiotic used for digestive and liver related conditions.
Hitra Tablet Uses
- Treats traveler's diarrhea caused by certain bacteria.
- Manages irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea.
- Helps prevent episodes of hepatic encephalopathy in liver disease.
Hitra Tablet Benefits
- Acts mainly within the gut with very low absorption into the body.
- Lower risk of widespread side effects than regular antibiotics.
- Can be used for repeated courses when advised by a doctor.
Digestive infections and liver disease are widely seen across Pakistan, with cases reported in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Rifaximin works differently from most antibiotics because it stays largely in the gut instead of spreading through the bloodstream, which makes it useful for gut bacteria related conditions.
Hitra should only be used under medical supervision since the underlying condition needs proper diagnosis and dosing.
