About Lomac capsule 40mg
Stomach acid relief for heartburn, reflux, and ulcer symptoms.
Lomac Capsule Uses
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease and persistent heartburn
- Stomach and duodenal ulcers
- Erosive esophagitis, or acid damage to the food pipe
- Helicobacter pylori treatment, combined with antibiotics
- Zollinger Ellison syndrome, a rare acid overproduction disorder
Lomac Capsule Benefits
- Blocks acid production at the source for longer lasting relief
- Allows the esophagus and stomach lining to heal
- Needs only one dose a day for most patients
Acid reflux and persistent heartburn are among the most common complaints at gastroenterology clinics in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi. Lomac capsule is a widely prescribed option because it controls stomach acid for a full 24 hours with a single daily dose.
Esomeprazole shuts down the acid pumps located deep in the stomach lining. This action lowers acid levels enough for irritated tissue in the esophagus and stomach to heal properly over several weeks of treatment.
Long term use needs periodic checkups, since prolonged acid suppression can affect vitamin B12 levels, magnesium, and bone strength over several years of continuous use.

Risks and warnings

- Kidney Function: Rare cases of acute kidney inflammation have been linked to prolonged PPI use.
- Low Magnesium: Long courses beyond one year can lower blood magnesium and cause muscle cramps or an irregular heartbeat.
