How to use Maxipime injection 1 gm?

• Given only by a doctor or trained nurse as an intravenous or intramuscular injection.
• Usual adult dose is 1 gm to 2 gm every 8 to 12 hours depending on infection severity.
• Dose is adjusted for patients with reduced kidney function.
• Complete the full course even if symptoms improve early.
• Never mix with other medicines in the same syringe unless advised by a pharmacist.

Drug Interactions

• Aminoglycosides: Combined use increases the risk of kidney damage.
• Furosemide: This diuretic can raise the chance of kidney and hearing related side effects with cefepime.
• Probenecid: May increase cefepime levels in the blood by slowing its removal.
• Live Vaccines: Antibiotic use can reduce the effectiveness of live vaccines given around the same time.
