How to use Qzon injection iv 1g?
- Qzon injection iv 1g must be given only by a doctor or trained healthcare worker.
- The vial is reconstituted with the correct diluent before use.
- It is given slowly into a vein over several minutes.
- Do not mix this injection with calcium containing solutions.
- Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve early.
Drug Interactions
- Calcium containing solutions: Mixing with calcium can form harmful particles, especially dangerous in infants.
- Warfarin: Ceftriaxone can increase bleeding risk with blood thinners.
- Aminoglycosides: Often used together for severe infections but must be given through separate lines.
- Oral contraceptives: Antibiotics may reduce the effectiveness of birth control pills.
