How to use Ticovate Ointment 0.005%?

• The affected area should be washed and dried before application.
• A thin layer is usually applied once or twice daily as directed.
• The ointment should be gently rubbed in until absorbed.
• Hands should be washed after use unless the hands are the treated area.
• An airtight bandage over the area is not advised unless a doctor recommends it.

Drug Interactions

• Other Topical Steroids: Combined use of multiple corticosteroid products increases the risk of skin thinning.
• Occlusive Dressings: Airtight bandaging over the ointment increases systemic absorption and side effect risk.
• Live Vaccines: Extensive steroid use on large areas may reduce the immune response to live vaccines.
