Biopsy Treatment

A cancer patient was advised biopsy by the cancer specialist to decide on treatment of cancer. Common people advised him not to go for biopsy as it can spread the cancer cells. It is important to consider the benefits of the tests as well as the risks of not having the tests. What should we consider? Is biopsy safe

Dear Patient,

A biopsy is when a sample of cells is cut out and removed carefully n tested for cancer. It's rare to spread cancer through this technique. I have attached an article from Mayo hospital America where you can read for yourself.
It is more harmful to keep something as dangerous and quickly spreading like cancer in your body n risk incorrect diagnosis n treatment out of this fear. Medicine is an ever evolving field and there are no guarantees but biopsy is very commonly practiced hence relatively safe.
