Dizziness and Vertigo

Asked for Male, 47 years

My husband complains about severe dizziness and vertigo during his working hours at office, since 3 days now. His BP was normal. A month ago, we got him tested and it could be seen that only his cholesterol level is a little higher only. He takes Extor tablet daily for his Blood pressure since 8 years. My question is, is there any other way to end this problem? What else can be done about it?

Dear Patient,

Does he work on the computer alot? I'm assuming he has to sit on a chair at work and bend his neck often. Longterm use of such a posture can result in a cervical spine deformity, causing sudden episodes of dizziness. An X-ray of C-spine can confirm this and he can purchase a “medical collar' to wear at home and at work if needed to limit movement of his neck and help him. You could see a medical specialist with his X-ray for further management.
