Low HB Level

Asked for Male, 34 years

Today I visited Shoukat Khanam to donate Blood. I have donated many times blood in Past. My HB level was 8.9. They denied by saying that minimum standard is 13.0 at Shoukat Khanam. Is this something to worry? What to do in this case.

Dear Patient,

I'm sorry to hear that. It's nothing to worry about. Have you had any bleeding in stool, urine, etc? Have you noticed any unusually dark stools? If not then just take any good iron supplements. We recommend capsule sangobian. Take one capsule a day on an empty stomach for 6weeks. Iron supplements may cause dark stool which isn't worrisome however if you are having any dark stools right now then you must get it checked.
