Mosquito Bite

While sleeping something bit on my finger. At that time I thought it was a mosquito. For a day nothing happened but just a little itch. Not even the bit-mark was there. Yesterday night I couldn't resist itching and rub that area. Later it started swelling. About an hour ago I went to nearby GP. He gave me Rigix tablets for a day or two. There is no pain. Just swelling and itching. What else can I do?

Rigix tablet is sufficient for a bug bite. You can apply calamine lotion to provide local cooling.
Dettol/lifebuoy soap can be used to wash such a region.
