Nausea in Pregnancy

I am 3 months pregnant and suffering from severe nausea all the time and also having gastritis which is making it more difficult. Even taking 2 bites of anything makes my upper stomach and chest so heavy that I keep having nausea after every 5 minutes. I have lost 5kgs in a week. My main concern is, will it affect the baby development in anyway? Should I get myself drips?

I’m sorry to hear this. Please take tablet Marzine 50mg before breakfast and dinner. This should help with nausea.

Your condition will cause you to become weak and lethargic and make your pregnancy an uncomfortable process. if your bp falls below 90/60 mm Hg then you may need drips, but this may also depend on other parameters.

This isn't uncommon to lose weight in the first trimester of pregnancy. Things should get better from now. Please try taking citrus fruits and other fresh fruits and juices as well. Consult with a gynecologist for further treatment.
