Omezol while feeding

Is it safe to take 40 mg Omezol once daily while breastfeeding? I have gallstone problem My doctor says I should not, but baby's pediatrician said it is alright. So, I am not sure what to do. Please guide

Dear Patient,

Your pediatrician must have spoken from the point of view of the child. Omezol is known to appear in breastmilk if taken over 20mg/day. He may not have considered your gallstones. To my knowledge, there is no harmful effect of it on gallstones but your primary doctor must have complete access to your history and is the best person to recommend an alternative treatment.
