Pain and tenderness

Is she breastfeeding her child or recently wean him? If so, prominent ducts can be expected. However the symptoms together point towards an infection. Two tablets panadol should be taken for fever and she should bathe immediately to get the fever down if 102 or more. For tenderness and pain she will need to do warm compresses with hot towel to release any milk and place cold cabbage leaves in bra after expressing milk(a breast pump may be used). However she should see a gynecologist and a breast surgeon/general surgeon at the earliest, so milk can be drained and antibiotics can be given.
