Period cycle in PCOS

Asked for Female, 52 years

My mother was diagnosed with PCOS a few months back. In order to regulate her cycles, doctor prescribed famila 28 for 3 months. The cycle was regular for the past two months. It would start at the second last brown pill. This was the third month, but this time the cycle did not start even after completing the pill pack. What could be the reason? Is it normal? And what should be done in this case? Please guide
