Platelet Count

Asked for Female, 54 years

My mother is suffering from Pancytopenia and her platelet counts is only 13000 even after transfusion of 6 bottles platelets and 1 red blood. I need to consult another Hematologist for 2nd opinion. I need a permanent solution and quick precautions to it?

Dear Patient,

Treatment and outcome are based on the reason for these decreased cell count. Cell replacement will temporarily replace the cells but not recreate the cells.
