Postpartum bleeding

I delivered my son but soon after my delivery I had to suffer from postpartum bleeding of 200 ml. I am fine now and I am 3 months pregnant again. I want to know do I have the chances of postpartum bleeding again? Should I go for C section? What should I do to prevent severe postpartum bleeding again? Do I require special facilities during my delivery or I can deliver in any hospital?

Dear Patient,

Although this is distressing it doesn't qualify as postpartum hemorrhage fortunately(which is above 500ml). There are many medications and postpartum care techniques that minimise blood loss after delivery. All you need to do is make your gyne aware of your past history and go to a reputable hospital. C section isn't necessary for this issue. Here's an article that can give you some tips on this matter and your gynecologist can tell you more :) some hospitals give vaginal transamin tablets to reduce this risk in any susceptible women
