Pregnancy Advice

Asked for Female, 31 years

I am 7 months pregnant with my second child. I had my first one born through C-Section about 1.5 years ago. Ultrasound showed 7.0mm scar thickness. Is it normal? Please advice.

Dear Patient,

In what sense do you mean to ask if it's normal? You mean is it recovering well or that is your chance for a future vaginal delivery possible?
Some scars can be thicker than others but other than cosmetic reasons, this isn't an issue.
A thicker scar may be a positive sign and you may discuss a future vaginal delivery with your gynecologist.

Your gynecologist can give you better advice based on your case
