Renal Carcinoma

My father was diagnosed with renal carcinoma for which renal neprectomy was performed. Now the C.T thorax report shows 11mm soft tissue nodule at left upper lube and the doctors have again advised me for a surgery. What alternatives should I consider?

Dear Patient,

Although the financial, physical and emotional burden is very high, however, chances are this is also a malignant/cancerous and needs to remove. Another approach for lung treatment is bronchoscopy and not open surgery but there may be a chance that this isn't possible due to its location. Depending on the type of cancer, radiation or chemo could be considered.
