Thyroid and Weight loss

I'm taking thyroid control tablets fasting(nehar-moun) in the morning. Can I take lemon water after one hour of taking the tablets for weight loss? Is it easy to lose weight in thyroid? Please guide in detail doctors.

Dear Patient,

Yes, you can take detox juices and lemon water. Thyroid fluctuations can cause both weight gain/loss in people. However, if you are taking thyroxine and once your levels stabilize it would be easier to lose weight. Avoid junk food, increase fiber intake in the form of fruits and vegetables, and most of all increase your physical activity to up to 20-30 mins of regular brisk walk daily.
