Typhoid Test

Asked for Female, 33 years

I am 28 year old unmarried female. I get typhoid after every 2 to 3 months. My typhoid test is mostly positive every time. And widal test is sometimes positive and sometimes negative. I heard that some people become carriers of typhoid which is tested through bone marrow test. Please suggest me a good solution. Should I go for any further tests

Dear Patient,

Widal test is obselte now so dont rely on it. And you should look into your hygiene and water sources. Don't drink water and beverages from outside. Have boiled water only.
Its causative organism can reside in the gall bladder but it doesn't cause an infection that frequently. So reconsider your food hygiene and sources.
