Viral Fever

Asked for Male, 29 years

A family member having a severe viral fever with a sore throat. He is taking azomax 500mg once a day (taken 2 doses uptiĺl last night) & he had lincocyn (injection) twice yesterday. But still no relief yet. Fever rising to 103 on & off.

Dear Patient,

Medications take time to heal. Viral infections should be waited out with antiallergy and painkillers only for five days at least. With or without medicine high fever reduces in 2-5days. Put alcohol swabs in his underarms this will reduce his fever a lot, give panadol four hourly, and give a bath if needed. Avoid cold, sour and fried foods.
