Ashfaq A. Razzaq is a neurosurgeon with spinal sub-specialization. He has trained in USA, UK and Pakistan, for total period of 14 years. He is the only Pakistani Neurosurgeon to have done 3 years of Spine Fellowship training in both Neurosurgery & Orthopaedic Surgery from USA and UK. He has written & published 15 peer reviewed articles in International Journals and has more than 20 international presentations to his credit. He has operated on more than 1500 patients. He has recently completed a prestigious AO spine fellowship at University of Alabama USA (among top 10 US hospitals). During this fellowship he performed 200 cases under supervision of members of North American Spine Society. Many of these cases involved spinal rod and screw placement, he also gained in depth experience of spine deformity and trauma during this fellowship. His areas of expertise include neck & back pain, radicular arm pain and sciatica, cervical and lumbar degenerative disc disease, spine deformities such as scoliosis and kyphosis, spine trauma, spine infections(TB) and tumors. He also practices general and cranial neurosurgery including head injury, brain tumours, infections, hydrocephalus, carpal tunnel syndrome and ulnar nerve palsy.
