Dr. Shahid Javed Husain

Dr Javed Husain is Director of Critical Care Services at South City Hospital and also heads The Chest Clinic. Dr Javed is a United States-trained and board-certified physician with four specialty boards to his credit. He has trained extensively in busy public and private hospitals in New York, Chicago and Texas. He completed his medical internship in New York and his residency training at Loyola University in Chicago followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at the University of Texas, Galveston. He is currently board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Sleep Medicine and Critical Care. He was an Associate Professor at the Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi where he still continues to practice. Dr Javed Husain’s primary practice is at South City Hospital Karachi where he provides both inpatient and outpatient care. As Director of The Chest Clinic, Dr Javed Husain conducts regular clinics for chest diseases and sleep disorders. He specializes in the management of patients with asthma, COPD, lung fibrosis, lung cancer and chest infections.
