Dr. Raja Mehdi Hassan

Dr. Raja Mehdi Hassan, a Senior Consultant Cardiologist has 31 year experience in Cardiology. He has been trained in Punjab Institute of Cardiology, Lahore and post graduate medical Institute, Lahore. He has done his post graduation in Cardiology from PGMI(Post graduate medical Institute). He had been serving in Shalimar hospital too. e is the first cardiologist in DHQ hospital, Chakwal. The credit of establishing 16 bedded C. C. U and Cardiology Ward in DHQ hospital, Chakwal goes only and only to Dr. Raja Mehdi Hassan who got it done by in kind donations.

He has been creating awareness amongst people of Chakwal district by different free seminars, Heart walks, free medical camps.His selfless and devotional services towards the cardiac patients haven been truly appreciated and acknowledged by the District Government and people of Chakwal by awarding him different awards, like government's honrarium, Quaid e Azam hold medal, Benazir Gold medal, Dhan churassi award (highest award by chaklites), Best Cardiologist in District chakwal 2009.

His selfless devotion is not limited to Chakwal district only. As he started working in Benazir bhutto hospital Rawalpindi, he also indulged himself in social awareness programs by conducting free workshops on CPR (Basic Life Support) training in different institutions, schools, companies like Zong, ufone, Commissioner office, social security hospital, westminster school, citi school, Islamabad club, etc in order to train their staff. He had been awarded pure gold (10 grams) medal on the occasion of world universal day, presented by Dr. Nausheen Hamad Federal parliamentry secretary health.He has been creating heart diseases awareness programs on electronic and print media like such TV, atv, ptv, ptv world, K2. News papers, FM radio stations.
