Dr. Musarrat Adnan

I am a dedicated and proficient clinician with an extensive sixteen-year background in Clinical Psychiatry. My professional journey spans diverse clinical settings in Psychiatry within the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom, encompassing sub-specialities such as Outpatient, Working Age, Old Age, Community, Rehabilitation, Liaison, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I am experienced in managing mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, substance misuse, and organic disorders amongst working age and elderly and ADHD, Autism, Depression, and Anxiety in children and adolescents. Along the way, I've attained postgraduate qualifications in psychiatry. I have a keen interest in counselling, complemented by formal psychotherapy training. My approach to practice is firmly rooted in evidence-based methods, as shown by my contributions to audits, publications, and research projects. I am a strong advocate for teamwork. I have also shared my knowledge with undergraduate students through formal teaching engagements. I am passionate about upholding principles of safe practice, patient comfort, and dignity in my work.
