How to use Amvax-B Injection 20mcg?

• Take this vaccine only from a doctor, nurse or trained vaccinator, never as a self injection at home
• The adult course is three doses given at 0, 1 and 6 months, with the second dose one month after the first
• Each 1ml vial is injected into the deltoid muscle of the upper arm, not into the buttock and not into a vein
• Shake the vial gently before use so the slightly cloudy white suspension mixes evenly
• Complete all three doses even if you feel protected, because a single dose gives only partial cover
• A missed dose does not mean starting again, so book the delayed dose as soon as you remember
