How to use Coralan Tablet 7.5mg?

• Take Coralan Tablet 7.5mg by mouth twice daily with meals, at the same times each day.
• Swallow the tablet whole with water, do not crush or chew it.
• This higher strength is usually prescribed once your resting heart rate has been rechecked and the lower starting dose was not enough to control it.
• Your doctor may lower the dose again if your resting heart rate drops below 50 beats per minute or you feel dizzy.
• Continue taking this medicine along with any other heart failure or angina medicines your doctor has prescribed.
• Never take an extra tablet to make up for one you missed.

Drug Interactions

• Strong CYP3A4 Inhibitors: Ketoconazole, itraconazole, clarithromycin, erythromycin, and HIV protease inhibitors raise ivabradine levels sharply and must not be combined with Coralan.
• Verapamil and Diltiazem: These calcium channel blockers slow the heart rate on their own and also raise ivabradine levels, so this combination is not allowed, especially at this higher strength.
