How to use Serenace Tablet 10mg?
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice daily.
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
- Take with or without food, but keep the timing consistent each day.
- Do not stop the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.
- Do not adjust the dose on your own even if symptoms improve.
Drug Interactions
- QT Prolonging Drugs: Combining with other medicines that prolong the QT interval, such as certain antibiotics, antiarrhythmics or other antipsychotics, raises the risk of dangerous heart rhythm problems.
- CNS Depressants: Using with alcohol, benzodiazepines, opioids or sedatives increases drowsiness and the risk of slowed breathing.
- Carbamazepine and Enzyme Inducers: These can lower haloperidol blood levels and reduce its effectiveness.
- Anticholinergic Drugs: Combined use can increase dry mouth, constipation and confusion, and may reduce haloperidol's antipsychotic effect.
