Medication Advice

My father has Ischemic Brain stem stroke and severe Arthritis. He has been using Deltacotril for the past 1 and half year but I think every steroid has some severe side effect. My question is: can my father continue to use this medicine? If yes then how long? P.S It was recommended by a Neurophysician.

Dear Patient,

I think its best to discuss this with his neurophysician. Longterm use of steroids is recommended in some scenarios and when the patient needs to stop them, it cannot happen suddenly but needs to be weaned off gradually. Kindly consult a neurophysician in this regard.
