Not Bleeding

I have one yr old son, and aa birth control I have IUD placed for 10 yrs since I don't want to have any kids. but i m not having any period just bleeding spot everyday. with this plbirth control i was suppose to have heavy bleeding but no bleeding just spot.

Dear Patient,

I'm sorry I don't understand your query. You put the IUD before you had your son or after? Is it in since 10yrs or 10mths? If you meant 10mths it may be due to lactational amenorrhea- which means no periods due to nursing your child. But whenever your periods will come they will be heavy. If that's not the case kindly check back with the gynecologist who put it in.
