Sore nipples

You can use nipple shields to nurse but do not stop nursing. You can apply few drops of breast milk to nipples after each feed, along with lanolin cream. You will need to thoroughly wash this off with soap before feed. Before feed you can apply Palmer’s nursing butter on your nipples. If your nipples are bleeding its best to express this milk using a manual/electric pump and discard the milk if theres blood in it and if no blood, you can give to child with bottle. To the bleeding nipple apply Mycitracin ointment but this needs to be washed off with soap before feeding.
