He is the core member of the 18 member National Medical and Dental Academic Board (NMDAB), that has been tasked with overseeing the standard and practices of education in Undergraduate/ Post-Graduate Medical And Dental Institutions across the Country. As per the rules set by the board, each of the four provinces were required to nominate one member for NMDAB from private & public sector medical universities and Dr Arif was nominated member of the board from public or private medical colleges. Prof. Dr. Arif is one of the most experienced names in the profession and has earned the status of a veteran due to his mass contributions to the field, earning immense respect by the local & International authorities.

Dr. Arif Tajammul has a proactive approach in raising awareness regarding health issues and is a key member of the PMC and National Medical & Dental Academic Board which has worked very closely with Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid to enhance the quality of services provided in the health sector. He was also the leading figure of the 2nd four-member special medical board of Allama Iqbal Medical College / Jinnah Hospital assigned to deliver a report on the medical condition of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the ex Prime Minister of Pakistan, during his time in Kot Lakhpat Jail. The findings of the relevant report were published on Dawn news and various other platforms. Dr. Tajammul was part of the survey organised by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) in order to Ascertain child and maternal mortality rates. In Pakistan, 16 health facilities were randomly selected in Sindh, Punjab and Islamabad to carry out the survey and Professor Arif Tajammul was nominated to take over the role of Punjab provincial co-coordinator for this survey.
