Prof. SFZ Feroz

Dr Fakhera Feroz (faah) MBBS, LRCP LRCS LMSSA, MSc, DFFP, MRCOG, PhD, has been trained as a Clinical Academician in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine. Faah is a medical graduate from St Georges Hospital Medical School, University of London and obtained her clinical training from the tertiary university hospitals such as St Georges Hospital, London, Royal London Hospital, Royal Free Hospital, London, Imperial College, London and University College London.

Faah has obtained her academic training at internationally renowned universities such as Manchester University, University of Warwick, University of Cambridge, Imperial College London and University College London.

Based on her PhD work she was awarded a Clinician Scientist Fellowship by the Tubingen University, Germany.

She has developed an Obstetric Simulator System (OSS) to establish and maintain preparedness for obstetric emergencies, and therefore improve obstetric outcomes worldwide.

She is a Creative Director in development of Animations in Medical Teaching as Pedagogical Tools.

She has also developed a system “Endoscopic Assisted Operative Vaginal Delivery”. This proven technique will not only minimise the feto-maternal adverse outcome significantly, but will also reduce the number of litigation charges faced by the NHS.

She has published various scientific papers in high impact journals and holding memberships of various scientific societies.

Faah is a constituent member of PMNCH (Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health) and has been involved in the development of Global Health Strategy 2015-2030 for RMNCH (Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn & Child Health) WHO & UN Geneva Switzerland.

She is a founder of SAMEO (South Asia & Middle East Organisation), An Academic Health Science Centre for Reproductive, Maternal & Childe Health (RMCH) based in London to improve maternal and child health at global level and working very closely with World Health Organisation (WHO) as a constituency member of PMNCH (Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health) and UNO, Geneva Switzerland.

She is also a member of The Maternal Health Task Force (MHTF) — a project of the Women and Health Initiative at the Harvard School of Public Health, Harvard University, USA.
