I am a psychological minded psychiatrist who strives for and inspires people around for continuous personal and professional growth. I am willing to constantly learn and reflect on the deeper layers of my own psyche. Consequently I have achieved meaningful growth in various dimensions of my being. I have been Alhamdolilah reasonably successful in my career. I flourished with the passage of time after joining psychiatry 24 years ago. As a supervisor, trainer and an examiner at FCPS, MCPS and DPM levels, I have done really well and so have my students. I also have a rich experience of teaching undergraduate students.I am currently working as Prof of Behavioural Sciences at Rahber Medical and Dental College Lahore Cantt. As a clinician, I am well respected due to my hard work, sense of responsibility and openness to learning. My area of interest is Counseling and Psychotherapy. I am Certified therapist in ‘ Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Humanistic Therapy and Object Relations Therapy’ I am also interested in the spiritual aspects of Mental Health. I love to understand it in the light of the work of Maulana Jalal ud Din Rumi. My orientation to various modes of psychotherapy provides me and the client an opportunity for a holistic understanding and healing.
