Dr. Javed Hayat Khan graduatedfrom King Edward Medical College, Lahore and trained in Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases atthe Stobhill General Hospital, Glasgow, UK, and the world-renowned Royal Brompton Hospital, London,UK. Hehasworked in major tertiary care hospitals in the UK and Saudi Arabia. As Head of Pulmonology at King Fahad Armed Forces Hospital,Jeddah (1997-2017), he introducedseveral new services for the management of respiratory diseases including establishing the first Sleep Laboratoryin the region (1998). During his time in Saudi Arabia, he authored/co-authored National & Regional Guidelines on common respiratory disorders. These guidelines serve as the basis upon which medical expertise and practice is developed in the country. Dr. Javed Hayat Khan has over 40 years of clinical experience in managing a wide rangeof respiratory diseases,has several publications in peer-reviewedjournals andpublished book chapters in leading international medical texts. He has also been on the editorial board of scientific journals.He has been a regular invitee speaker for over 30 years in many National and International conferences and scientific meetings. Hehad also served as an advisor to the Pharma Industry in the Middle East as an expert in respiratory diseases.He had been physician to several VVIPs including highest ranking Royals. More recently, Dr. Javed Hayat Khanwas nominated by the Government of Punjab to co-author guidelines for the management of the Corona Virus.As acore member of the Corona Expert Advisory Group (CEAG) and Technical Working Group (TWG) of the Government of Punjab andas Director of Corona Care Centre at PKLI & RC,heplayed a vital role in the fight against the virus.
