Bio

Dr. Junaid Rasool is an established Psychiatrist in Lahore with over 8 years of experience. In a country where mental health is a taboo and barely talked about, he has become a well-qualified psychiatrist and is currently a Consultant Psychiatrist at two hospitals in Pakistan, Al-Aleem Medical College and at Gulab Devi Teaching Hospital Lahore. He specialized in adolescent and adult psychiatry.

Qualifications

Dr. Junaid Rasool is well qualified in his field and has completed his MBBS from Allama Iqbal Medical College Lahore and then finished his FCPS (Psychiatry) from the College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2012. He is also a member of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

Experience

Dr. Junaid Rasool has over 8 years of experience in his field. He is currently a Consultant Psychiatrist at Al-Aleem Medical College and at Gulab Devi Teaching Hospital Lahore. He previously worked at Al Amal Mental Health Complex in Saudi Arabia and at The Parklane Clinic in Lahore as a Consultant Psychiatrist as well.

Activism

Dr. Junaid Rasool has spent his time raising awareness on mental health issues, especially raising awareness about depression. In a video interview on depression, he mentioned how mental health issues are resolved through psychotherapy and medication. He then specifically spoke about how clinical depression is a condition most people now face in the world and talked about some symptoms of depression (loss/gain of appetite, loss of motivation, etc.). He also spoke about schizophrenia and OCD.
