How to use Diclofenac sodium injection 75mg / 3ml (1 Amp)?

• Given only as a deep intramuscular injection by a doctor or trained health worker, never self administered
• Usual dose is one ampoule (75mg) once daily into the gluteal muscle
• In severe cases two ampoules may be given in 24 hours, injected at separate sites at least a few hours apart
• Treatment is usually limited to one to two days before switching to oral or topical NSAIDs
• Not intended for long term or routine repeated use
• Not recommended for children
• Injection site should be rotated if more than one dose is required
