Sciatica

Asked for Male, 66 years

My beloved father is suffering from sciatica since February. In between he felt better for two months but it come again. He is 60 years old ma sha Allah and having no chronic disease. No blood pressure no suger nothing else alhamdulillah except sciatica. He is in severe pain your guidance will be highly appreciated.

Sciatica occurs when the sciatic nerve is pressed by the bulging spine, the final treatment is surgery but its not preferred due to many reasons. lifestyle changes are encouraged- physiotherapy, ketoprofen gel and hot oil application, tablets like brexin taken twice a day for 10 days when pain is severe, hot fomentation, using TENS(a physiotherapy device, your physiotherapist can guide you abt it), sitting with back support and molty back foam on chairs, perhaps even using a lumbosacral medical belt can help.
