Prof. Dr. Shahnaz Ibrahim is a highly trained and experienced pediatric Neurologist in Karachi. According to the Pakistan Journal of Neurological Scientists, Pakistan has a crippling shortage of pediatric neurologists, about one per one million population, therefore the work Prof. Dr. Shahnaz Ibrahim does is of the upmost importance and a necessity for the country.

Prof. Dr. Shahnaz Ibrahim is a highly qualified neurologist; she has completed her MBBS and has also received her FCPS (Neurology). She is also a member of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

Prof. Dr. Shahnaz Ibrahim has 24 years of experience in the work she does. She is currently working as the Associate Professor Pediatric Neurology at Aga Khan University.
Activism
Prof. Dr. Shahnaz Ibrahim has done a lot of work to raise awareness and further the availability and supply of skilled pediatric neurologists in Pakistan. In one video she spoke about she spoke about how children with neurological disorders should not be discriminated against. She discussed how children with disorders are not fully accepted in society and they usually have stigmas attached to them. She further discussed how these children have the same rights and deserve the same respect as everyone else and that society and the government must work towards making life easier for these children. There should also be more awareness and education for the rest of society for those with disorders.
Special Interests
Prof. Dr. Shahnaz Ibrahim has a special interest in furthering the field of neurology, specifically pediatric neurology in the country. She has been a part of conferences held specifically for pediatric neurology at Aga Khan University. In one conference, they discussed the new findings about the field and how the role of diagnostics and genetics is very important for the targeted treatment of pediatric neurological disorders.
